Our experience will begin right away going through ancient villages rich in history and traditions on the slopes of the volcano and along paths through the woods inside the Etna Park. During our ascent we will notice how the vegetation changes constantly according to the altitude. We will cross Lava deserts alternating with flora rich in different species: apple trees, cherries, vineyards, hazelnuts, chestnut trees, oak trees, junipers, pines, birch trees, beech trees.

Starting from Rifugio Sapienza or Piano Provenzana (according to craters activity conditions), at an altitude of approximately 1.900m. we will leave the beaten path, and from then on the landscape will change drastically, vegetation will give way to Lunar landscapes, that are very impressive.
We will reach an altitude of 2.900m we will continue on foot from there, walking along low-activity craters, leaving everything behind, we will be overwhelmed by the feeling of being in a unique place, enjoying a magnificent panoramic view of Sicily, we will therefore start our descent down to 1.900m.
Our experience will continue with the visit of a lava cave with ropes, helmets and flashlights, discovering how the lava, flowing underground, can create beautiful round tunnels.
The Full Day will continue enjoying the typical Sicilian cuisine; lunch includes exclusively the use of seasonal products from the Etna territory, including excellent Etna Doc wine and, upon request, it will be revisited for our vegetarian guests.
After lunch, we will continue to discover this magical place along on off-road paths that will take us to the Bove Valley, a wonderful place where everything began…
